Why Join ABS?

Membership includes access to the leading journal, Animal Behaviour.  Animal Behaviour is an international journal that contains research papers, commentaries, review articles, essays, and commentaries. Keep up with the latest in animal behavior research through this top-ranked journal!

Membership is affordable, with reduced rates for students, emeriti, for those from developing nations, and those receiving online access only to the journal. Our membership rates for those receiving the paper copy are also kept low.

You may attend our annual conferences at a reduced rate and be eligible to submit your abstract for presentation. Come and meet other animal behaviorists to discuss topics of interest and just have a good time.

Eligible members can apply for a variety of grants. These include the student research grants, developing nations research grants, and travel grants, which provide assistance to be able to participate in our annual conference.

You will receive notification when our latest quarterly newsletter has been published. Our newsletters contain announcements and information regarding events of interest to animal behaviorists.

 

What to expect with your new membership

Your membership form and payment will typically be processed within 24-48 hours during the weekdays, after which you will receive welcome message and a receipt.

You will get online access to the journal, regardless of the type of membership you purchase. Please expect 2-6 weeks for access to be granted. If you ordered a paper copy of the journal, it should arrive 6-8 weeks after your payment was received.

Your membership will start the month after payment is received. (e.g. if your payment is received in January, your membership will begin in February and expires at the end of January of the following year.)
